IMS works with manufacturers to increase production efficiencies and improve customer satisfaction on custom orders – whether it is non-standard packaging of a standard item, or reoccurring short runs of a custom product. IMS will re-package items to meet the customer’s specification, store and fulfill orders. Whether it's bulk pallets broken down into boxes, several different items packaged into a variety pack, or wrapping a multi-pack for big box stores. Moving this off the production floor allows a manufactuer to concentrate on standardizing production and improving efficiencies. Short run custom orders can cause down time during changeovers, and they may happen several times a year. Reducing the number of changeovers by combining production runs can save money, but then there is the storage and fulfillment to deal with. IMS will store and distribute these items as needed – by the carton or by the truckload, for a lower total cost. |
